ECOTURISM
The Los Arcos Marine Ecological Reserve, which consists of a group of three rocks islands, is located in front of Mismaloya Beach and is an area where marine birds reproduce as well as being a refuge for marine mammals and a sample of ocean organisms. This marine life can be observed while diving.

Nestling in the back of a small bay, this beach is regarded as one of the finest in Puerto Vallarta and is a favorite among swimmers and divers. It has hotel and restaurant facilities.
FISHING
Great deep-sea and freshwater fishing are included among the many attractions at Puerto Vallarta, as this resort is rich in marine fauna. Sailfish, dorado and red snapper fishing are some of the most popular types sport, but the best fishing is done at specific times of the year.
Yelapa
White sandy beach with restaurants and a small hotel. There are boats available for hire, together with diving and fishing facilities. Nearby is a beautiful 30 m high waterfall.

Las Ánimas
The coastline landscape becomes rugged and rocky south of Puerto Vallarta. Interspersed among the rocks are beautiful beaches with light gray sand, such as Las Ánimas. This beach is 600 meters long and the water is fully transparent, making it ideal for diving. It can only be accessed by boat.
Los Arcos
Los Arcos, situated in front of Mismaloya, consists of fantastic rock formations; the clear, transparent waters pound constantly against these rocks forming little nooks and crannies. The submarine wildlife consists mainly of fish and crustaceans.
