Spa and massage services are available for guests at the Camino Real Acapulco Diamante and Westin Las Brisas hotels at Punta Diamante and Puerto Marqués on the south side of the city. Similar services are also available at the Hyatt Regency, Acapulco and Elcano hotels on Icacos Beach in the hotel zone on the Costera(coast road).

ECOTURISM
The Coyuca and Tres Picos lagoons located just outside Acapulco are full of mangroves trees and wildlife. The network of canals through the dense forest can be traversed in boats from which you can admire the wide variety of birds and listen to the pleasant sounds of their song.

Laguna de Chautengo
117 km southeast of Acapulco lies between the sea and a natural sandbank. Boats can be hired to explore the mangrove swamps inhabited by herons, seagulls and other sea birds.

Laguna de Coyuca
Is located 13 km outside Acapulco on the way to Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo and its landscape contrasts sharply with that of Acapulco. The lagoon is an exotic estuary with lush tropical vegetation, wild fauna and small islands.

Tecomate
68 km east of Acapulco, has dozens of mangrove swamps where hundreds of sea birds come to feed. The area is ideal for swimming and sport fishing.

Tres Palos
Is an ideal lagoon for hiring a boat and enjoying its exuberant vegetation and the local fauna.

FISHING
Acapulco is the favorite place for those who like fishing, and we’re not talking about the type of fishing that involves sitting around for hours doing nothing in the middle of a lake. Fishing in Acapulco means the excitement of being on a boat out in the choppy, open sea and the rush of adrenaline you experience when a large sailfish pulls at your line. Your taste for excitement will also be fully satisfied when fishing for red snapper, sea bass, pompano or bonito. There are great facilities for renting the exact type of boat you require at either Puerto Marqués or in the Bay of Acapulco.

HIKING AND CLIMBING
There is a craggy canyon at the spot where the Papagayo River that flows down the Southern Sierra Madre mountain range joins the Omitlán River before it reaches the Pacific Ocean. The walls of the rocky canyon reach up to 60 meters high. This spot is located 6 km south of Tierra Colorada and about 60 km from Acapulco.

SNORKEL AND SKUBA
The transparent waters between the rocks and Icacos beach on the eastern side of Acapulco Bay are a great place for diving. Coralreefs and all sorts of fish can be seen at this spot. Other places where you can enjoy sea wildlife are Roqueta island and Caleta and Caletilla. beaches

Isla de la Roqueta
Its beaches are calm and safe for swimming. You can either go snorkeling or visit the zoo with exotic species. Just one kilometer south of Caleta and Caletilla. Visiting the island is one of the most traditional activities in Acapulco.

Puerto Marques
Small bay nestling in mountains covered with tropical vegetation. Its waters are suitable for all kinds of aquatic activities, such as snorkeling, diving and sailing. Pony treks recommended.
